Smash, which billed itself as Jacksonville’s solely ping pong-themed sports activities bar and restaurant, abruptly closed Sunday.

In its goodbye message, Smash thanked its prospects, workers, supporters and “the varied charities and native companies that selected to companion with us commonly. We cherish your help and the nice reminiscences made collectively.”

Smash opened in November 2018 within the Baymeadows Junction procuring heart at Baymeadows Street and Philips Freeway within the former Pure nightclub.
